What to Expect When You Apply

Keep Coming Home exists to support individuals in early recovery by helping fund safe, stable sober housing. We are a small organization with limited administrative capacity, and we structure our process to ensure that the majority of our resources go directly to housing support rather than overhead.

How the Process Works

When an application is submitted:

  1. Applications are reviewed internally based on available funding and established criteria.

  2. Once per month, typically within the first few days of each month, Scholarship Award Decisions are Made.

  3. If a scholarship is awarded, Keep Coming Home communicates directly with the sober home where funding will be applied.

  4. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the sober home, not to individuals.

Our primary working relationship is with sober homes. As part of our operating model, communication regarding awards is handled directly between Keep Coming Home and the housing provider.

What This Means for Applicants

Due to limited administrative resources:

  • We are not able to respond to all inquiries.

  • We do not provide individualized status updates.

  • You may not receive a direct response from Keep Coming Home regarding your application.

  • If a scholarship is awarded, the sober home will be notified directly.

We understand that waiting can be difficult. Please know that every application is reviewed thoughtfully and respectfully within the limits of available funding,
